Sunday, November 15, 2009 at 9:43AM This is a great film you will probably never see, an intriguing film about aging actors in a home trying to put on one last performance. It's funny, sad and extremely well done, and I saw it at the Polish Film Festival last night at the Little Theatre. Here's the film's web site: Before Twilight.

The 2009 Polish Film Festival happens at the Little Theatre in Rochester, NY from November 14th to 18th, and from the brochure I picked up yesterday it looks very promising. Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 9:21AM We saw the Michael Jackson concert film last night, they did a good job piecing together rehearsal footage of what would have been his final concert. It was genius of course, and very sad at the end to realize he is gone, but his music will live on forever.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending TEDx Rochester, a fascinating conference which was held from 1 to 8 pm at the Geva Theatre in Rochester, NY. It brought together live and videotaped speakers from widely diverse backgrounds to talk about innovation, ecology, doing good for humanity, architecture, the arts, etc. They spoke of many exciting new ideas that you otherwise would never be exposed to. I was happy to be there and happy to see many friends there too.
If you're interested in finding out more about next year's TEDx Rochester, check out their web site tedxrochester.org. You can also see other fascinating TED.com talks on-line at ted.com. Registration is free for TEDx Rochester but you have to apply to get in, and I understand there were many dozens of people turned away.
